Les Mis, b-day party, and pregnancy

Les Miserables: Last week Les Mis came to Phoenix. We got tickets last minute, and decided to make it a girls night, because all of our husbands needed to study. It was so fun, and such a neat production. Thanks ladies!

Birthday party: Chloe went to her friend's birthday party last weekend, the theme was a "doctor" party. They gave these cute doctor boxes out as party favors... Chloe loves hers! She takes the items out everyday to play with them, and puts them all back when she is done... she takes very good care of her prized possessions.

Okay, I know this is pretty much the lamest thing to blog about. But regardless, I am amazed by this tip I learned, thanks to Pinterest! Check it out...

Day 1        -        Day 3        -         Day 6
Okay, these are green onions - I used what I needed for a meal, and put the leftover ends in a glass of water. That's it. These pictures are over a 6 day span. They grow like weeds! Now I will never have to buy green onions again!

A post about pregnancy: A friend told me I should fill out this "pregnancy questionnaire" so I can keep anyone that cares updated, and I can use this as a journal entry to remember this pregnancy. So, here it goes!

How far along? 33 weeks
Gender: Girl
Total weight gain: 18 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Definitely. I can still squeeze into a few non-maternity things, but for the most part I am full-on in maternity clothes... plus they are much more comfortable these days anyway.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Not great. I feel like I have sleep insomnia some nights. Other nights I take a Benadryl to ensure a good night's sleep. However, I still wake up a couple times to go to the bathroom. My body is definitely preparing me for a newborn.
Best moment this week: It's a tie between two things. 1 - Seeing this little girl on ultrasound and watching Chloe point to the screen saying "baby sister". 2 - Going on a shopping and lunch date just Chloe and me.
Miss Anything? I miss sleeping on my tummy and wearing a variety of clothes in my closet. Overall though, I am feeling so good, I can't complain.
Movement: Constantly. Especially at night. She moves way more than Chloe ever did. And she gets hiccups like 2-3 times a day.
Food cravings: Ice, ice, and more ice.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not anymore!
Have you started to show yet: Yes
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Out
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Wearing my normal clothes, sleeping on my belly, meeting this little girl, and seeing Chloe as a big sister.

Some good news, some sad news...

Baby Shower: Annie and I threw our sweet friend Stacey a shower for her baby girl, Eden! We had lots of fun decorating, and making the food and treats for it. The turnout was awesome... Stace is one popular girl! It was so fun chatting with all the ladies that came, eating delicious food, and watching Stace open gifts. Here are the pics:

Thanks, girls! What a fun day. Welcome to the world, sweet little Eden!!!

Chloe's tooth: Well, my nightmare actually happened. On Sunday, Chloe fractured her front tooth and chipped off another part of her other front tooth. The poor girl was in so much pain. We scheduled an appointment with a pediatric dentist first thing Monday morning, and unfortunately the tooth couldn't be saved. I was a wreck, because I knew it would have to be pulled. I was super sad, not because of the pain it may have been causing her, or the possible trauma the dentist experience could be. Nope. I was a wreck imagining my toddler being toothless for the next 5 years until her adult teeth come in. Well, it did get pulled. Call me vain, but I am so sad that she won't have a tooth there for a while. Let's just say I cried for 2 days straight. I will get over it eventually, I'm sure.

The fracture.

Right after the surgery. She did great! She didn't even cry at all (and no, she was not sedated... just local anestesia).

The day after her surgery. She is happy as can be! Luckily, she has no idea that she is a Snaggletooth. The good news is that in a few months, when she gets her 2-year molars, we will be able to get her a little fake tooth that will look pretty decent. So, she won't be gap-toothed for too much longer!

Baby #2: And the pregnancy progress... I am feeling really great overall! I have energy, and I just feel good. I think I'm feeling better than I was when I was pregnant with Chloe this far into the pregnancy. We just can't wait to meet this little girl, and to see Chloe as a big sister!

San Diego, Bear Factory, Cabella's, & Sedona

Since we came back from CA, our days pretty much consisted of going to the pool... no joke. That's pretty much all there is to do in this ridiculous heat. But regardless, it was so fun to still have Danny around and to spend so much time with him before another crazy school year begins.

San Diego: A week before Danny started school, we made one last trip to San Diego to spend time with friends and family. We spent a day at Coronado, swam at the Shumway's pool nonstop, ate great food, and went to La Jolla. It was so fun that Danny's family happened to be there that same weekend...

Watching the hang gliders.

Josh, Jenna, & Freddie

La Jolla

She was very interested in the seals.

And unfortunately, this is what she was like most of the day. No nap = disaster child.

After San Diego, we made an impromptu trip up to Dana Point to stay with Josh and Jenna and their friends for a day. It was an absolute blast, and their beach house was unbelievable. We went kayaking, paddle boarding, sat in the hot tub, and played games. It was pretty much heaven.

The boys.

Danny and me.
This is from the porch... yes, their own private beach where their yard is the sand. It was amazing.

Hanging out in the spa... can't beat that location.

Chloe in time-out. Chloe had a rough time being obedient, so this is where she spent a decent amount of time.

Soaking up the sun. Thank you Josh, Jenna, and Sorensen's for letting us join in on the fun for a day! We loved every second of it!

Bear Factory: Chloe is obsessed with bears. She loves anything bear related. She sees a bear in a book, and she has to give it a kiss. She finds a stuffed animal bear at a friend's house, and she says "mine". And of course, she can't go to sleep without cuddling up to her own stuffed animal bear.

So, what better place to take this bear-loving girl than to a bear factory, where they have a million stuffed bears everywhere, and you can take a free tour of how the bears are made. Danny and I weren't too impressed with the place, but Chloe was in heaven. Of course she had to give all the bears kisses and hugs, or at least the ones she could reach...

Cabella's: The Saturday before Danny had to go back to school, we went to Cabella's to walk around and show Chloe all the animals and fish. We walked around eating some delicious kettle corn they had at a stand outside the doors, watched the fish-feeding presentation, and walked around all the exhibits and little seminars going on. It was fun, and of course Chloe loved looking at all the animals. She was pointing at things nonstop.

Sedona: Over Labor Day weekend, we went camping with some friends. We camped in a town called Cottonwood, which was about 30 minutes away from Sedona. One of the days, we drove up to Sedona and Flagstaff to explore the area. It was so beautiful up there, and man, did it make us miss trees, and greenery, and mild weather. We had a picnic, and watched the boys go cliff jumping...

Chloe waving to her daddy jumping off a cliff.

Danny jumping.

Well, sadly, our summer has officially come to an end. But we did so many fun things together, and we loved every second of having Danny around. He is back in school now, and back to being busy and working hard. But it's good to be back into the routine of things, and now to get ready for the arrival of this baby! 10 more weeks to go...
