Spring Break

Well, Danny has officially completed his first 2 semesters of med school! This last week was his spring break, and we had a total blast. It was so fun to have Danny around. We stayed in Phoenix, and did things around here that we normally can't because Danny is too busy during school. Here is what our week was filled with: a birthday party for our friends' daughter, the Phoenix farmer's market, we went out on a hot date (dinner to Cibo - amazing and totally worth the wait, See's candies, and a movie) while our friends babysat Chloe, we built our patio garden, played pool/ping-pong with friends, went to the Phoenix Zoo, lots of walks to the park and to feed the ducks, temple and Cafe Rio trip, went to the Children's Museum, Pizzeria Bianco, and lastly Danny watched Chloe while I went clothes shopping by myself! It was an amazing week... Here are the pics:

Well, here is our patio garden that we planted. We have several different kinds of tomatoes, green peppers, basil, cilantro, and parsley. We are excited about it... now let's hope some stuff grows!

The park. As you can see, she loves the swings.

Always fun hanging out with you guy!

Annie and James watched Chloe while we went to the temple and Cafe Rio. Here are some pics they took while watching her. Best. Babysitters. Ever.

Thanks so much! You two are the best!

Okay, this girl is obsessed with headbands. She has to be wearing at least one at all times, and if you try to take it, she will scream. She puts them on herself, then runs to the mirror to check herself out. This pic is classic Chloe - four on her head, and one in her hands. Love this little girl.

Chloe and her books

We spent a day at the Phoenix Zoo! Such a fun day... however, we thought Chloe was going to love all of the exotic animals that she reads about in her books... Nope. She just wanted to look at the birds and ducks walking on the sidewalks.

Petting a snake.

They had a cute petting zoo, where you could pet and brush the goats. Chloe loved it.

We went to the Phoenix Children's Museum. It was a really neat place for kids. Chloe was a little too young to really appreciate it, but she still had a blast. Unfortunately, when we got there, I locked the keys in our car, so we had to pay $100 to get a locksmith to come and open it up for us. I was so mad at myself! Needless to say, that kind of tainted the first part of the day. We still had fun though. Here are the pics:

Then after the Children's Museum, we went to the famous Pizzeria Bianco. I can't tell you how long I've been wanting to go here. And it finally happened. And it was glorious. The food was amazing.

Pure heaven.

We had such a fun week together as a family. I wish it could be like this all the time! But now Danny is back in school, and back to being insanely busy. It's great though... totally what he is meant to be doing! Chloe and I are going to Denver in a week to visit my family, and I'm way excited. Hope everyone is doing well!

Random pics & Lemon orchard

Here are some more pics of what we have been up to lately...

Chloe's favorite thing to do with her daddy.

Clearly her feelings got hurt somehow.

She loves hanging out on the balcony...

There is a lemon orchard right on campus at Danny's school. So, we had a playgroup there with lemonade and lemon cookies, then we picked lots of lemons. So much fun!

Chocolate Days and Books

My girlfriends and I went to a festival in downtown Glendale called Chocolate Days. It was fun to walk around and get delicious samples, however, it was so crowded! There were a million people there... I guess it was our mistake for choosing to go on a Saturday.

Chloe is obsessed with books. This girl could look at books all day. She is constantly bringing us books to read to her, and when we can't, she will just sit and read them by herself.

And of course, Chloe loves Snipes. She calls him "Cat". She loves following him around, petting/hitting him, and laying on him. Needless to say, when he sees her coming, he usually runs the opposite direction.

Chloe lately, and day trip to Fountain Hills

Part 1: Chloe lately. This girl is growing like no other. As she gets older, it just keeps getting more and more fun! She is talking a lot, repeats everything we say, and is pretty much running everywhere. Some of her favorite things: her water bottle, Bear, stacking things, her binky, Snipes, food, books, and headbands. We can't get enough of this little girl...

Danny practicing some manipulation on Chloe.

Making toys out of anything but her actual toys.

Meet Chloe's new obsession. Bear. She can't go to sleep without him.

As you can see, Chloe got a black eye somehow. We think it happened at church while crawling under the pews, and not looking where she was going.

This girl loves throwing anything and everything into the empty bath tub. Then she screams and squeals for Mama's help because she can't reach them, so I have to grab her toys for her. She thinks it's funny, so she does the same thing all over again.

Bath time is still her favorite time of day.

Part 2: Fountain Hills. We made a day trip over to Fountain Hills, to see the world's forth largest fountain. As lame as it sounds, it was actually pretty fun to just walk around the lake/fountain. And the weather couldn't have been more perfect. Then we went to Cafe Rio afterward... always delish.

Two of my favorite ladies... Annie and Stacey. Love you gals.

Chloe and her boyfriend Benson. They were way more interested in the ducks swimming below than the giant fountain in front of them.

We are seriously loving this AZ weather. February has never been so beautiful.

The most wonderful time of the year

Well, to say the least, we had a great time with the Wood fam in CA. To quickly sum up, our trip was filled with shopping, Braden's baptism, Joel's b-day party, the beach, tennis, Danny trying to convince his parents to adopt Snipes, game nights, chatting constantly with three of my favorite gals -- Jenna, Carley and my mom-in-law (we sure missed you Bronwyn!), Modern Family, free babysitting several times (thanks to Danny's mom... you're the best!), lots of amazing food, nativity scene reenactment, seeing the elephant seals, going to the movies, lots of baby talk with my pregnant sis-in-law Jenna, and Danny's b-day party. It was a blast you guys, and we miss you all already. That trip came and went too fast. Here are the pics...

Christmas morning! Ya, it's insane.

On New Year's Eve day we went to the beach! It was so beautiful and fun. Thanks Carley and Chad for letting Chloe and me tag along on your family outing! Poor Danny had to stay home and study...

Chloe loved Shea's little rocking chair! I will definitely have to get her one sometime soon.

Celebrating Danny's 29th birthday!

He is the best husband and dad in the whole world, and is still as fun, sweet, and sexy as ever. I love you, babe! Happy birthday!
