Well the past couple weeks have been fun and busy! We have tried filling our days with cool things to do before we leave CA this coming weekend. I made jam with Denise and Bronwyn, lots of shopping, going to the drive-in movies again, dinner with our good friends Katie and Il, SLO farmer's market, trip to the berry farm, watching the Bachelorette faithfully, swimming at the Meek's pool, Morro Bay aquarium and taffy, celebrating our anniversary, and day trip to Mission San Antonio and Big Sur. Here are some pics...
Jam making...
Making jam... thanks gals! Now I am stocked for the year!
Avila Valley Barn...
Avila Valley Barn... where you can feed the animals, buy local produce, pick lots of berries, and go on a tractor ride. Such a neat place.
Chloe feeding the llamas. She loved it.
Ghetto phone pic from the tractor ride...
Morro Bay...
Morro Bay Aquarium... Chloe loved feeding fish to the seals.
Chloe's first REAL saltwater taffy experience. She was quite obsessed.
Six year Anniversary...
Okay, so our actual anniversary was almost two months ago, but we didn't have a good time to celebrate it... until Danny surprised me yesterday with special plans. He took me to a nice Italian restaurant, and then we drove up to San Simeon to watch the sunset on the beach. (Thanks Jake and Bronwyn for all the effort you went through to help him plan such a special night!)
Watching the sunset.
This was the set up waiting for us... a blanket, jacket, and Uggs were also waiting for us as we walked down on the beach. Sadly, I forgot to get a pic of the pretty setup before we dug into the dessert and grape juice. Oh, and candles, lanterns, and rose petals. Ya, it was perfect and I pretty much think my husband is the coolest.
Mission San Antonio...
We went with Jake and Bronwyn to this mission, and although the museum was closed, it was still fun to walk around.
Now this one is for my mom... Mom, a giant soup pot that I know you would appreciate.
After the mission, we went on a gorgeous drive through the national forest to Big Sur. The views were incredible.
Bronwyn and Dillan. This is where we stopped for a delicious lunch.
We walked around to see the pretty views. Afterward, we drove to Cambria to stop at an amazing French bakery to get some dessert. Heaven!
Thanks guys for such a fun day! Even listening to the little girls screaming and crying the whole car ride home was hilarious.
