Chloe playing doctor
buying a double jogging stroller
Now this next little segment needs an intro. Chloe got super sick on Wednesday, and was acting really lethargic and was struggling to breathe. We took her in to the ER to get her checked out, where they kept her for a few hours and stabilized her. Then she had to be transferred to a different hospital where there was a pediatric unit. We were told she would have to be hospitalized for a few days...
Turns out the poor girl had pneumonia, an ear infection, and some bronchial issues.
They don't allow you to drive the patient, so Chloe and I took the ambulance over while Danny followed us. She loved it.
when we got there the hospital staff was great, although Chloe was a little scared of all the wires and monitors she had to be hooked up to
however, eating endless treats and snacks given by the hospital staff helped a bit
and they gave her some sweet toddler scrubs to wear
resting in her crib... or should i say cage?!
it was a long, uncomfortable night, which i would like to completely erase from my memory. between the nurses coming in to check Chloe's oxygen levels and vitals every 30 minutes, the constant beeping from the oxygen machine, the lights that needed to stay on all night, or Chloe's random crying in the middle of the night from not being able to breathe... it's understandable how neither of us got any sleep.
our second day there - finally down for a nap. so exhausted from having such a rough night
a visit from daddy (who couldn't stay with us the whole time because of classes and crazy studying, but man, did we love when he came to visit)
feeling lots better
the second night was much better. there were far less interruptions throughout the night, so we both got decent sleep. oh, and i went in better prepared this time... i took a benadryl, wore an eye mask, and put in ear plugs
day 3 - finally came home in the afternoon. doing a breathing treatment while watching Tangled
words can't describe how nice it is to be home. the past few days have been rough, but it's over now and Chloe is doing so much better. she is still on some steroid meds for a few days and will need breathing treatments every so often, but overall she is doing great. i'm so happy to have this girl back to her fun, energetic self.

and a preggie update: still feeling great, starting to not breathe as easily, but overall can't complain. she is moving like crazy and gets hiccups often, and i get braxton hicks several times a day. 5 more weeks to go!

Seeing Chloe with all those tubes is so sad! I'm glad she is doing better! We love you!
What a crazy week you guys had! It's so sad seeing Chloe with all the tubes in her. Glad she is much better! Hope you guys recover from the eventful week
Why is seeing a baby in a hospital the cutest thing and the saddest thing at the very same time? I hate pneumonia and sad sick kids. But I love Chloe in that hospital gown. Hope your this week is mucho better:)
